If you dance salsa…?

How long does it take to be able to dance salsa and how long does it take to be a good dancer?
Hy. I am in Salsa classes now since 3 months. If u get the basic steps right then the rest will come together. The turns, the moves come naturally to complete the dance. It is important to learn the basic steps correctly. It doesn’t take long and it isn’t hard at all. The first lesson would maybe seem not hard but a little complicated if u didn’t have any contact with this dance at all. It takes a while to be good dancer but not to long. It depends very much on how u feel the music and how your dance partner dances too.

You can learn the basics in no time at all, and you’ll never run out of things to improve. Just go have fun.

well this is the first time where I take this seriously, I am on my 6th week(6 hrs) and I already got a lot of it. go here https://www.steps4salsa.com/clipshop/ and look at the categories it describes about how long it should take and what lever you are in. I am also looking for a Salsa dancing partner if anyone is interested.

If you already have a dance background then its easy to catch on. I took salsa for 1 month and caught on easily, and the teachers taught easy too. we had 2 teachers a guy and girl and they showed us the moves first then we paired u and did it together and it was easy. to be a good dancer? I dont know, if you are dancing to compete it would robably take a whil

I’ve take around 10 45 min. classes is salsa, meringue, swing and cha-cha, and I’m not great, but if I was dancing with someone I feel I could definitely keep up and do most turns or whatever, so if that helps…?
