They're most likely just as nervous as you are, I know I was! I've been taking classes for almost a year now and I was so nervous about it before my first class that I requested a private lesson. Lucky for me, they refused! They told me to just try the regular class (there would be 30 other people there that were nervous too!) and then see how it goes. I did, and now I am actually part of a performance team and trust me, I am NOT just naturally rhythmic. I just remember that I am there for the dance itself and don't worry so much what I look like to other people, just to me. At this point, I am a FANTASTIC salsera and I get asked all the time where I learn my styling. I always say the same thing. That will give you a chance to get used to your partner and get the rhythm of the steps without killing each others' feet. Once you are more comfortable with your partner take the proper body positions for salsa. I've learned salsa and cha cha this way. It made it so much easier for me to become comfortable with my partner and the steps came more naturally once we began close dancing.<br><b>References : </b><br>Dance is life.
