hi i like the look of really fast pace dances. i like the looks of belly dancing, salsa, tango and latin dances but i dont know which one to go for. im 14 so my parents would have to pay for the lessons but i feel scared of going and asking them. But how could i convince them and what dance should i go for. im 5ft7in and skinny if that makes any difference. its just im seroiusly dying for lesson and ive had it for roughly a year! help!
I like the Latin dances a lot. If your parents don’t want to pay for it you could always buy the dvds and learn at home. I have one and now I know how to do the Tango, Cha-Cha, Samba, Paso Doble and Jive. If you like the Latin dancing you should watch the movie "Dance with Me". It is awesome! It might influence which class you choose to take!!

How do you dance to fast music when you have a partner without grinding?
Do you salsa dance or what? I know my girl would love it if I learned. Right now all we do is grind and slow dance.
So, how do you dance to fast music other than grinding? Thanks.
You should look into taking some classes. The dances that you’re referring to – salsa, tango, swing – are danced to music that is specific to these dances. You can’t dance salsa to any fast music, it needs to be salsa music. Why don’t you look into taking group ballroom dance classes at your local dance studio. Ballroom includes salsa, swing, tango and many other dances that are a lot of fun. Look for studios near you in the dance directory here: http://www.accessdance.com or http://www.ballroomdancers.com Community colleges also tend to have inexpensive evening classes. You might want to invite your girlfriend along. Maybe you want to surprize her, but she needs to learn ladies’s steps for this dances too.

How long does it take to be able to dance salsa and how long does it take to be a good dancer?
Hy. I am in Salsa classes now since 3 months. If u get the basic steps right then the rest will come together. The turns, the moves come naturally to complete the dance. It is important to learn the basic steps correctly. It doesn’t take long and it isn’t hard at all. The first lesson would maybe seem not hard but a little complicated if u didn’t have any contact with this dance at all. It takes a while to be good dancer but not to long. It depends very much on how u feel the music and how your dance partner dances too.

There is a song used to teach salsa dance in which the singer counts "one two three four five six seven" trough all of it. It is used to teach people the timing of salsa. I understand there are equivalents to other rhythms like mambo, bugaloo, etc. Is there a CD with all of these samples? how is it called and where can i acquire it?
You can always go on youtube.com and look up songs that teach salsa dancing to beginners. There are a variety of different songs that can help newbies.

i use to be a salsa dancer in my country and since im here i haven’t dance anymore, my husband always tells me to open a salsa dance club to teach salsa to other people but if i do so a have to leave my job, how much can i charge for that?? (i’m a very good teacher!! i won gold in an international festival in my country.
I think if you are as good as you say and you believe in yourself, take a chance! If your husband is willing to be a support for you even better. It’s hard to find a partner who would do that. I love to dance salsa, but I have no professional training (yet) and I would love to start a club myself. I think you have a great opportunity at hand and you should take advantage of it.
Where would you open this club? Location is a very important factor to consider. What age group would you like to admit, days to open, what crowd would you like to target, only salsa dancing? As for pricing and all the logistics in opening a club, you should look for some assistance. An accountant, a planner, a promoter, the works. I might not be easy but I bet if you really want it, you could do it. Maybe I could go take some classes from you one day!
Leaving your job might not be the easiest thing at first, but seems like you have a supportive husband, and that in itself is a great thing.
Adelante chica y con la frente arriba! Buena Suerte!

i ballroom dance, salsa, tango what not. i think they are attractive dances which is why i decided to learn them. im thinking of taking a belly dance at my college but first i have to see how i handle my classes. i think belly dancing would give me better posture.not only that give me a 6 pact even thou most belly dancers are chunky.
Well, the most beautiful is ballet. Except for your feet. If you’re willing to have hideous feet for general bodily grace, I’d say ballet….

do guys like girls who know how to dance salsa? I hardly ever get asked to dance salsa when i’m at an all ages clubs and I always get asked to grind to reggaeton??
Girl if I was there i’d ask you to dance in a heartbeat. The thing is that not to many guys know how to dance salsa and that’s probably why you don’t get asked much.
In my opinion any girl that knows how to dance salsa is sexy

I’ve been salsa dancing for about 6 months now and looking for a partner at the same level (beginner looking to progress). Ideally the lady should be slim with a bit of height (I’m very slim 6′) but anyone with a smile and passion for music and dance.
I go regularly to a club and have met a few people there. We do a warm up, then rueda which is fun. Before the advanced class starts there’s an opportunity for free dancing and it’s then that I want the practice. Although women heavily outweigh men a lot leave at this point. One week I asked a women I was friendly with and got a dance. The next week I asked she politely refuses and her friend tells me she has a date. So what I think to myself. I confided in an older female friend and she told me that a woman would see this approach as my chat up line and that because I’m single I must have intentions. This is not the case. I am a 33 yo straight (and totally celibate) male who is looking for dance partner(s) single or married.
Get out the phone book(Yellow Pages) and find all the dance schools within a 10-mile circle of where you live and hang out. Go to each one and see what kind of talent they have dancing, and approach the ones you find attractive with an offer of a night out with you dancing…
